Sgt. Alain Bourden (fully known as Shock Trooper Guardsmen Sgt. Alain Bourden) was a guard for the Shock Trooper Guardsmen stationed at Fort New Trinity during the Human-Alien Conflict and the Zombie uprising. He is one of four playble characters in the Zombies saga of Call of Duty: Eclipse Warfare.

He returns in Call of Duty: Eclipse Warfare II: Opposition Rising, where he was promoted to the rank of Captain. In Call of Duty: Eclipse Warfare III, he is still the rank of Captain, but is now a commander of the Zombie Extermination Force, an organization dedicated to cleaning the universe of Element X's influence.

History[]

Dawn of Shadows and Unquestionable Ethics[]

Sgt. Bourden was sent to the Fort New Trinity military base and research facility as a guard. One night, while on patrol, he spotted a Nakumurian soldier named Jack McMack whom he believed to have been a spy. While trying to reprehend him, The Hybrid Experiment went wrong and began to massacre and infect almost everyone in the base. Alain fought off as many Zombies as he could before almost getting overwhelmed by the horde. An Alliance soldier under the codename of "Athena" shot and killed the remains of the horde and saved Alain in the process. They later team up with Jack McMack and an unknown mercenary to survive and escape the facility.

Personality[]

Being a Shock Trooper Guardsmen, Alain Bourden is very loyal to his faction and affiliates. He highly respects "Athena", who returns this sentiment, has almost no trust in Jack McMack, and is neutral towards Brian, the mercenary.

By the end of the story, Bourden has gotten to get along with all three of them, as well as the four memebers of the 7th Special Operations Division, and is deeply affected by Brian's death, vowing to avenge him by destroying all of the Coil Arms Division. This carries over into the next game as well.

In Call of Duty: Eclipse Warfare II: Opposition Rising, Alain was unsure about their newest member Ben Crawford. However, Alain has gotten to like him after he proves his worth in their ranks and still respects him in Call of Duty: Eclipse Warfare III. Like the others at the end of Adventure's End in the third game, Alain becomes incredibly remoseful on the loss of "Athena" after she becomes lost in space whilst fighting Ataraxia within the disabled Iron Doom as it aimlessly drifts through space.
